Enough ink has been spilled describing the life and labours of Cardinal Newman, so suffice it to say he is one amazing man. His conversion to Rome will always be an awkward conversation for Anglo-Catholics, even whilst we ponder Pope Benedict's Constitution, Anglicanorum Coetibus.
Nevertheless, his London Oratory, a bulwark for the Latin Rite, is a stunning example of neo-Baroque architecture.
