Today, our first day of class, we all walked (yep, we walked in the snow, so I can finally say I walked to school "uphill" in the snow!) to Speaker's Corner, that great bastion of free speech where too many fanatics stand on their milk cartons and pretend to "speak the truth in love," ha ha!
Today the main attractions were two fundamentalists: one Muslim and one Christian, who after being asked to clarify his position, said he was really more a "crazed" (his words) Jew for Jesus than a Christian. Okay, it's London after all.
Can you imagine the crowd these two attracted? I really can't say who was the funniest. The Muslim was so angry, and I think my picture reveals his frustration with the "Jesus Jew" who told him he was nuts!
Now, who could ever say in today's world that religion isn't fascinating?
